AKETRA vs Postiz

Postiz publishes. AKETRA operates the brands on top of it.

AKETRA is built on Postiz, the open-source publishing engine, and publishes through it. Postiz schedules and publishes, with or without AI agents. AKETRA adds the brand layer on top: a Brain per brand, autonomy levels, the Guard and a record of every action it takes.

What it’s forAgentic scheduling: AI agents plan, generate and schedule posts to 30+ networks, and you review them in a calendar.Operating each brand’s presence: it plans posts and, within the brand’s rules, prepares or publishes them.
Who decides what goes outPeople and their agents. Approval is a preview link for comments; nothing blocks publishing. Each brand’s autonomy level: ideas only, wait for an admin, drafts, or scheduling within a daily limit. Admins approve, reject or withdraw until a post is published.
What it knows about the brandIts post generator offers a personal or company voice, and signatures add fixed text.A Brand Brain per brand: identity, audience, products, voice and the claims it never makes, which your team can inspect and correct.
Checks before a post goes outIts docs recommend a person in the loop. Through its MCP, agents can schedule or publish directly. The Guard checks every post AKETRA proposes, or your tools propose through its API: prohibited claims, channel health, the brand’s apps and the daily limit. Posts written in the calendar, or sent through the engine’s own routes, aren’t checked.

Questions

Is AKETRA built on Postiz?
Yes. AKETRA publishes through Postiz, the open-source engine. The publishing is Postiz’s; the Brand Brain, autonomy, the Guard, signals and the record of actions are AKETRA’s.
Why not use Postiz with my own AI agent?
You can. The difference is the rules: through Postiz’s MCP, an agent can publish directly, while proposals to AKETRA’s brand routes go through the brand’s autonomy level and the Guard first. AKETRA keeps the engine’s MCP too, so point the agents you want governed at its brand routes.
Is AKETRA open source too?
Yes. Like Postiz it’s licensed under the AGPL-3.0, and we publish the source of the version we run before anyone outside our team uses it.
